Multiplicity/Duplication images

First, you will need to get your two photographs. We did this by putting the camera on portrait mode and using a tripod to keep the camera still while we took our photographs. We used a tripod as it is important not to move the camera as the images won’t line up in the next step of creating this and when you edit them, they won’t line up.

Once you have taken your images, layer them onto of one another on Photoshop. Don’t resize them or move them as they won’t line up. you will then need to add a layer mask to your top image.

After this, select your colour palette. The foreground colour should be solid black and your background colour should be solid white. you will then need to use the paintbrush tool to reveal your image.

Once you have completed this process, you should now save the images as a JPEG.

My image was planned to represent how technology really takes over our lives and how dependant we are on devices like our mobile phones etc. I wanted to give the impression that most of the time we keep our heads glued to our phones and tablets rather than live our lives with people face-to-face.
